Der Smokey Joe Music Award ist ein Passauer Musikpreis, der vom Musikförderverein Passau e. V. seit 2009 jährlich vergeben wird. Auch dieses Jahr treten wieder 9 handverlesene hochkarätige Bands in der Tabakfabrik Passau auf.
In 3 Vorentscheiden mit jeweils 3 Bands wählt eine
3-köpfige Jury die jeweils beste Band des Abends ins Finale. Die Finalisten erhalten je nach Platzierung Preisgelder in Höhe von 1000, 500 und 250 Euro sowie einen hochwertigen Glaspokal den "Smokey Joe Award". Zudem erhält jede auftretende Band, die nicht ins Finale kommt, 100 € Gage.
Austragungsort des Bandcontests ist die Tabakfabrik Passau.
